Our 6th grade LAW students and teachers recently raised over $1500 and purchased over 200 toys for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Charity Drive by holding bake sales after school led by Mrs. Williams, “the Bake Sale Queen,” Ms. Fehlig, Mrs. House, and Mrs. Wright. We would also like to thank our parents for their donations. This toy drive has been a long standing tradition for the LAW students, and this year was another great effort by our students and teachers.
E.L. Wright’s contact at Toys for Tots had this to say, ” You guys are awesome as always. As I told your kids 2 yrs ago, you and the E.L. Wright students/parents show the Columbia area and beyond just what it means when the Marines say their motto…SEMPER FIDELIS…meaning ALWAYS FAITHFUL! You and your students always have.”
Our Principal, Ms. Taylor, also said, “Congratulations to our teachers and students for doing an amazing job! We are proud of each of you.”
