Soccer Conditioning Practices

Soccer conditioning practices will begin next week for both 7th & 8th grade boys & girls who are interested in trying out for ELW soccer teams this year. There will be a total of 17 conditioning practices, eight in December and 9 in January. Students are required to have an updated physical before participating in conditioning practices or tryouts. If a student has already turned in a physical for another sport for this current school year, that student is eligible to practice immediately.
Conditioning practices will begin on December 4th. Attire for conditioning is weather appropriate and tennis shoes (cleats for ball days only). It is encouraged for students to bring their own water bottle and snack for conditioning.
All conditioning practices will meet in Coach Pillow’s classroom (Room 315) at 2:30 p.m. Students will be given time to change, eat a snack, and prepare to begin practice at 2:45 p.m. Practices will end at 4:30 p.m. Parents are encouraged to pick students up at the car rider line behind the gym. Please contact if you have any questions.

Madrigal Feast a Great Success

On November 15th, orchestra, band and chorus students along with faculty members held a Madrigal Feast, a Renaissance themed dinner theater of sorts. Our Madrigal Dinner is a collaborative work between the Richland Northeast H.S. and E. L. Wright M.S. Fine Arts departments. The event was catered by Little Pigs and served by the RNE Culinary Department! During dinner, guests got to enjoy medieval themed music, multilingual stories, courtly dances, and even a sword fight and jousting while surrounded by student artwork! Congratulations to all of our students and staff members who helped to make this a memorable event. Special thanks to Mrs. Gibbs, Mrs. Schweickert and Mr. Rafuse for organizing the event.
