Our 8th grade AVID students went on a tour of Ridge View High School on December 8th. It was a well organized informational tour that highlighted the 4A’s of Ridge View: Academics, Activities, Arts and Athletics. Our students were given a big welcome by the Principal, Dr. Brenda Mack-Foxworth. The highlight of this tour was listening to the Blazer student presenters who shared their journey at Ridge View, and how they were able to find a program that fit their vision for the future. We are grateful to Mr. Jeffrey McMicken, the AVID and Early College Coordinator, who invited us and organized our tour. Our AVID students came away with great information and new goals for entering high school next year as well as learning about all of special programs that Ridge View has to offer.
Our next home basketball game is Monday, December 11th vs. Longleaf Middle School. The ticket price is $4 for entry. All students who want to attend the game must report to the Cafeteria after school to purchase their tickets. Students must remain in the Cafeteria until dismissed to go to the game. Students will not be allowed into the game without going to the Cafeteria to purchase your ticket. We would also like to remind everyone that you must stay off the basketball court during the games.
