I received my Bachelor’s in English and my Masters in Secondary Education from the University of South Carolina, Columbia. This is my third year teaching English Language Arts at E. L. Wright. I believe that Middle School works best with my style of teaching. They’re my people. I became an educator because of the kids, their futures, the relationships we build, the stories we share, and the universal fight for equality and justice. I grew up an only child in North Carolina. My childhood was filled with sports and reading, dogs and camping. I have recently taken up boxing, and I am trying to learn how to skateboard. I love cooking, eating, talking about all-things-food, and of course, books.
