Faculty & Staff Spotlight: Kim Pillow

I graduated from Hillsdale College in Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a K-8 Teaching Certificate with minors in History and Psychology, and an Early Childhood Endorsement. I also have a Masters of Arts in Teaching degree from Michigan State University in Teaching & Curriculum. I have been teaching 13 years in grades K-8 in California, Hawaii, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, and Okinawa, Japan. Currently, I am a Reading Interventionist here at E.L. Wright. I became an educator because my father instilled in me that an education is something that no one can ever take away from you. I am passionate about helping students become better! I have one son that currently attends the University of Alabama. I enjoy sports, working out, gardening, and reading in my spare time. My motto that I try to live by is “You didn’t wake up today to be mediocre.”
