I attended Binghamton University in New York for my undergraduate degree in Psychology, and continued my education with a Master’s in Social Work from the University of South Carolina. After becoming a Licensed Masters Social Worker, I spent five years as a therapist in rape crisis, and provided forensic interviews and counseling to children who have experienced sexual and physical abuse. I also worked at Columbia Area Mental Health as a Dialectical Behavior Therapist for individuals diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. After working in the mental health field, I became a school social worker for the past five years. I love working in the education system because of the broad array of services that I can provided in one setting. A child’s success often starts at this level and I love reducing any barrier a student is experiencing in order to reach educational success. I have two beautiful boys ages 3 and 5, who keep me on my toes! I teach group fitness classes and do small group training at a local gym. I love anything on the water…beach, pool, lake! I’m a lover of trashy reality TV shows (anything on Bravo), and I love do-it-yourself projects.
