Job Shadowing Day

E.L.Wright Middle has designated Wednesday, February 1, 2017, as Job Shadowing Day for any interested students. You are invited to participate by arranging a job shadow for your child and taking your child to that place of work. The purpose of this activity is to expose students to the world of work and possible career options.

Your child’s absence from school on Wednesday, February 1st will be excused if this required electronic form is completed and submitted NO LATER THAN Monday, January 30th. – NO EXCEPTIONS – AND, your student writes a three paragraph essay on the Job Shadowing experience!!  Students will be responsible for making up any work missed on Job Shadowing Day.

Transportation to and from the work site and supervision during this activity will be the responsibility of the parents. YOUR CHILD MAY NOT attend a Richland Two school site without prior approval from that school’s principal(see form below)  It is the parent’s responsibility to get permission from the principal of the Richland Two school where your child will be shadowing. Principals will be keeping a list of students who were given permission.  If your child shows up at a school where they have not received prior permission, you will be asked to pick them up.

Saturday Activities canceled/postponed

Richland School District Two continues to monitor the weather forecast calling for possible winter weather conditions this weekend. All athletic and extracurricular activities scheduled for Saturday, January 7, 2017, have been canceled or postponed. There are no changes to the after-school schedule for Friday, January 6, 2017.

Thank you for accommodating the schedule changes due to the potential for hazardous driving conditions on Saturday.
